Following too closely in traffic, also known as tailgating, is one of the top causes of Massachusetts trucking accidents. Liability in a Tailgating Truck AccidentTailgating is against the law in Massachusetts. 720 CMR § 90.06(7) states that “Following Too Closely” is a prohibited offense.
